Use WHY THE VIDEO STREAM DOES NOT APPEAR ON MY COMPUTER SCREEN?

In order to take a shade, make sure that the following points are validated:

  • Your device must be light on and in video acquisition mode.
  • The Rayplicker Vision must be connected and synchronized to the Cobra.
  • The video stream must be in “activated” mode in the settings of your Cobra device from the Rayplicker Vision software
  • The current user selected from the Cobra (from the Cobra wifi settings) must be the correct user.

If, despite this, the problem persists, there may be a network security problem (port opening, firewall, etc.)

Here are network technical details (intended for network administrators):

Communication Cobra:

  • Protocols:
    • TCP (ports: 6050/6051)
    • UDP (ports: 6050/6051)

Stream Cobra:

  • Protocols (Note that the protocols below are used for RTP [Real-Time Protocol] and RTSP [Real-Time Streaming Protocol]):
    • TCP (port: 1234)
    • UDP (port: 1234)

Attention: Firewall exception must be set for Rayplicker Vision application otherwise Cobra streaming cannot be played

Upload/download to/from Cobra device:

  • Protocol: FTP (port: 21)

Dentist - Start HOW CAN I ADD A LABORATORY TO MY CONTACT LIST?

To add a lab, please first check if it is already equipped with the Rayplicker software.

  • If the lab is equipped, you can search and add it through the Rayplicker community. Once added, this lab should have a “cloud” icon next to its address.
  • If the lab is not equipped, it can contact Borea to obtain credentials and register on the Rayplicker community.
Dentist - Start HOW CAN I SEND A FILE BY EMAIL?

To send a file by email, there are two solutions.

You can export your file in pdf or in Borea original file and send it as an attachment via your mailbox.

You can configure your mailbox in the software settings (Settings > user).

Information: The functionality of the mail solution strongly depends on your type of mail and the associated parameters. Malfunctions inherent to the security settings of your mailbox may appear. In this case, BOREA recommends the Cloud transfer solution.

Dentist - Start WHY CAN'T I CONFIGURE MY EMAIL ADDRESS ON THE SOFTWARE?
  • Please check your login details (email address and password).
  • Email server: to configure your email address, you must specify your email server. This is often presented as follows: smtp.name of the mail service. (example: “smtp.gmail.com”). The name of your server can be found on search engines.
  • Once your login details and your mail server have been completed, click on “test and save” to check the connection.

Information: The functionality of the mail solution strongly depends on your type of mail and the associated parameters. Malfunctions inherent to the security settings of your mailbox may appear. In this case, BOREA recommends the Cloud transfer solution.

Dentist - Laboratory - Use WHY CAN'T I PUT PATIENT PICTURES FROM THE "RAYPLICKER PICS APP SOLUTION" MOBILE APPLICATION ON THE SOFTWARE?
  • Please check that your smartphone and your computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • The computer must be connected by Wi-Fi and not by an Ethernet cable.
Dentist - Laboratory - Use WHY CAN'T I ARCHIVE MY RAYPLICKER FILES?
  • Please check that the file name does not contain any special characters.
  • Borea recommends using only alphanumeric characters to name your files and avoid any archiving problems.

Information: The following special characters (<,>,:, “, /, \, |,?, *) are automatically replaced by underscores ” _ “.

Dentist - Start - Use WHY CAN'T I SEND MY FILE THROUGH THE CLOUD?

The inability to send an order via Cloud can be related to various issues. Make sure to check that all the points below are validated:

  • The laboratory receiving the order has been added to my contact list via the “Rayplicker community”. To confirm this, this lab must have a “cloud” icon next to its address. This indicates that this laboratory is equipped with the Rayplicker software solution.
  • Your computer must have internet access. Check the connection in the “Settings / Administration” tab, the connection to the Rayplicker Cloud must be activated.
  • The fields indicated in blue in the production tab must be completed.
Dentist - Laboratory - Use WHY CAN'T I EXPORT / IMPORT MY RAYPLICKER FILES TO THE SOFTWARE?
  • Please check that the import or export folder name does not include any special characters.
  • To avoid any problems, Borea recommends that you use only alphanumeric characters to name your import / export folder.
Laboratory - Start - Use WHY I DO NOT RECEIVE FILES ON MY LABORATORY ACCOUNT?
  • Please check that your computer has internet access.
  • Check that the “Rayplicker Cloud Connection” is active in Settings> Administration.
  • Make sure you have specified a postal address in Settings> Company> Address. If a dentist cannot find you in the Cloud and you do not receive orders, you may have forgotten to enter your address. To do this go to the settings tab of your software.

I am a laboratory, do I have to pay for the Rayplicker license?

No you won’t pay, Borea offers you the software license. If you wish to have one, please make a request on our contact page.

Concept WHAT IS SPECTROPHOTOMETRY?

Spectrophotometers are used in many industries requiring precise colors. Whether we are talking about packaging, paints… this is the essential tool to ensure that the color produced consistently matches the color initially specified. Beyond precision, this clearly promotes waste reduction and saves time and money.

Spectrophotometers analyse the reflected wavelengths of visible polychromatic incident light. The reflected spectrum is measured at a large number of points, at small intervals, and it is compared to a database to deduce the color of the tooth. For an optical measurement, several million reference points are analysed on a tooth. These devices are currently the most precise and are not exposed to problems of aging of the light source.

Concept SPECTROPHOTOMETER VS COLORIMETER

Colorimeters and spectrophotometers are the two types of colorimetric measuring instruments used to capture, analyse, and communicate color. In the dental industry, it is needless to say that color accuracy (tooth shade) is important and it is clear that making a reliable colorimetric measurement is essential for the manufacture of a quality dental prosthesis.

However, there is confusion today among many users and healthcare professionals, arising from the lack of information provided by manufacturers. This is why we are going to answer your questions related to these two devices using two very distinct technologies: spectrophotometry and colorimetry.

  • Colorimeter

It is a trichromatic colorimetric measurement tool that provides an objective assessment of color characteristics from light passing through the primary filters of red, green and blue. It simulates the way the human eye perceives color.

How does a colorimeter work?

The tooth is illuminated at an angle of 45 ° by an internal light source.

The light passes through the trichromatic filters, which indicate the amount of red, green and blue light reflected by the tooth.

The filter’s measurements are quantified in RGB values, which simulate the sensitivity of human eyes to light.

  • Spectrophotometer

A spectrophotometer is a more complex colorimetric measuring instrument that takes into account light intensity as a parameter of color. It performs full-spectrum colorimetric measurement, as opposed to the trichromatic procedure of a colorimeter, and generates colorimetric data that is beyond observation by the human eye.

 How does a spectrophotometer work?

An internal light source (On the Rayplicker, this source is represented by the ring of LEDs at the end of the measuring head) emits under different wavelengths so as to represent the entire visible color spectrum.

Each Led representing a specific wavelength of the spectrum emits one after the other in order to diffuse the light on the tooth.

Under each emission wavelength, the sensor measures the light intensity and absorbance of the tooth being analysed.

These collected data are then analysed by a comparison algorithm which compares the information collected with the spectral signatures of the various previously recorded shade guides.

The spectrophotometer displays this information in digital form.
