The bleaching module is now available – Vision Shade Scan
Published on 26th January 2026
Recently announced, the bleaching module is now available within the Vision Shade Scan software. This new feature enhances the existing digital workflow by providing a structured and visual follow-up of whitening treatments, directly during the consultation.
Accurate monitoring at every stage of the treatment
The bleaching module allows practitioners to document and visualize shade evolution throughout the entire protocol, from the initial appointment to post-treatment follow-up. Shades are displayed directly on the dental arch, providing a clear and easily understandable view for both the practitioner and the patient.
Polarized images, combined with colorimetric data, enhance the reliability of observations and facilitate accurate before-and-after comparative analysis.
A tool designed to enhance practitioner–patient communication
Designed for all practitioners, this module enables the implementation of a clear and efficient protocol for objective and automated monitoring of whitening treatments. No more approximate or time-consuming measurements using traditional shade guides: you now benefit from a scientific and precise analysis, based on L*a*b* colorimetric values as well as the Vita Bleachedguide 3D Master® and its 29 shade guide units (SGU).

The module in detail

Simplified monitoring at each appointment with display of shades on the dental arch and display of polarized photos.

Instant analysis of the shade gain in global SGU or on a case-by-case basis.

Intuitive visual display of the evolution of the shade between each appointment on the Vita Bleachedguide 3D Master®.

Colorimetric monitoring of brightness and the yellow and red component allowing better control of processing.

Automatic estimation of potential bleaching gain based on different scientific models.

Add before and after patient photos to document your cases and generate comprehensive reports for clear and professional communication.
Seamless integration into the digital workflow
The module does not operate in isolation. It integrates seamlessly into Vision Shade Scan, already at the core of colorimetric management with Cobra. This digital continuity allows for improved efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in clinical follow-up, without changing established workflows.
Availability
Good news: this module is included free of charge for all users of Cobra spectrophotometer. A simple software update is all that is required to access these new features.
With the bleaching module, you gain in accuracy, time efficiency, and overall performance, while enhancing the patient experience.
For more information:
Our module is based on the VITA Bleachedguide 3D-MASTER® because its clear design by brightness levels promotes good communication between dentist and patient.
This shade guide features 29 brightness levels (SGU Shade Guide Units) allowing you to accurately capture the finest brightness nuances and display them clearly for the patient.
The Bleachedguide shade guide is recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA).
